The Bengals ended up having one member of the NFL's All-Decade team as Lorenzo Neal, who spent two seasons in Cincinnati (2001-02), was the lone fullback named to the team.

Neal was the lead blocking back during back-to-back 1,300 yard seasons by Corey Dillon. Neal also played in Tennessee, San Diego, Baltimore and Oakland during the decade.

Florence native Shaun Alexander, a Boone County High graduate, was also named. Alexander, who played for nine seasons 2000-08, is one of four backs on the team along with LaDainian Tomlinson, Jamal Lewis and Edgerrin James.

Alexander ranked seventh in the decade in rushing yards (9,453) but was second in touchdowns (100). He was a three-time Pro Bowl Selection. He played eight seasons with Seattle and one season with Washington.

His best season was in 2005 when he was named the league MVP. He led the league in rushing (1,880 yards) and rushing touchdowns (a then league-record 27). Seattle advanced to Super Bowl XL before losing to Pittsburgh.
